RCDHU uses social media to communicate and engage with the communities we serve in a quick and efficient manner. Our mission is to protect and promote the health and well-being of all in Renfrew County and District, and social media is a valuable tool to help us achieve our mission.
RCDHU shares content related to a variety of public health topics, services and programs, health promotion and awareness campaigns, and timely notifications that may affect residents and/or partners.
Comments and posts expressed by fans or followers of our social media accounts do not represent the opinions and position of RCDHU or its employees.
Privacy
To protect the privacy of all individuals, please do not include personal names, photographs, phone numbers or email addresses in the body of your comment or post, or identifiable information about your own or someone else’s health care or health status.

RCDHU follows and likes other social media accounts. Please note that being followed or liked by RCDHU does not imply endorsement of any kind.
Availability
Comments and replies are welcome on our social media accounts at any time. RCDHU monitors and updates its social media accounts during regular business hours Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Response Time
RCDHU strives to respond to any questions (that do not violate these Terms of Use) within two business days.

Monitoring Posts
The following posting guidelines apply to any social media where users can directly post onto a RCDHU account (either by commenting or adding an original post).
RCDHU reviews and moderates posted comments and participates or intervenes as appropriate to ensure that conversations align with agency’s vision, mission, and values. RCDHU responds to questions or comments, on an as needed basis.
The following comments may be hidden or deleted:
- Abusive, aggressive, coarse, vulgar, violent, obscene, contain profanity, or pornographic comments
- Racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, slanderous, insulting, intolerant, or life-threatening messages
- Offensive to an individual, group, or organization, rude in tone, or otherwise abusive
- Inaccurate information
- Unproven, unsupported, or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations
- Defamatory or fraudulent against any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency
- Endorsements of labour or political organizations or non-governmental associations or commercial service or products
- Anonymous, disruptive, off-topic, unintelligible
- Spam
- Illegal
- Personal information, including personal health information
- Copyright infringement
- Violation of any RCDHU policies
