June 29, 2022 – School Immunization Catch-up Clinic

June 29, 2022 ‐ Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is required under the "Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA)", to collect and maintain up-to-date immunization records for every student in Renfrew County and District (RCD) attending school. Immunization Notices are being mailed to students and their parent/guardian(s) if RCDHU does not have the necessary immunization records in the provincial database system, or if the student’s immunization records are not up to date with the required ISPA vaccines.

April 7, 2022 ‐ The level of COVID-19 in the Champlain region is on the rise. The COVID-19 wastewater viral signal is increasing in the region and is at record levels in Ottawa. In addition, test per cent positivity across the region is high and increasing, according to regional public health units.

April 6, 2022 – RCDHU asks Residents to be Patient as Ontario Expands Fourth Dose Eligibility

April 6, 2022 ‐ Effective Thursday, April 7th at 8:00 a.m., Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) and its partners will be expanding eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccination fourth dose (second booster) in line with the province. Eligibility will include residents 60 years of age and over, as well as First Nation, Inuit and Métis individuals and their non-indigenous household members aged 18 and over. Booster doses are being offered to these individuals at a recommended interval of five months after receiving their last booster.

March 8, 2022 – COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics Moving Back to the Pop-Up Model as Community Clinics Wind Down

March 8, 2022 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) would like to acknowledge the tremendous efforts made by community partners, health care workers, and volunteers to organize and run another successful COVID-19 vaccination campaign for the residents of Renfrew County and District (RCD). As of March 07, 2022, over 89% of the eligible population across RCD has received a full series of the COVID-19 vaccine (at least two doses), which is in line with Ontario’s provincial vaccination rates.

February 2, 2022 – Technical Issue with Local Booking System Creates In-valid Vaccination Appointments – Only Pembroke and Deep River Clinics Booking Appointments

February 2, 2022 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is acknowledging a technical issue with the previous booking system that has allowed some residents to book appointments in the month of February. Any resident with an appointment scheduled within the month of February must have booked through the provincial booking system ONLY. Please discard any appointment booked on the previous booking system through the RC VTAC website for February. RCDHU apologizes for any inconvenience.

January 27, 2022 – RCDHU Announces Move from Local COVID-19 Vaccination Booking System to Provincial Booking System

January 27, 2022 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is announcing the move from the local COVID-19 vaccination booking system to the provincial vaccination booking system.

January 26, 2022 – RCDHU Participating in Provincial Contact Centre Auto Dial Calls for Booster Doses

January 26, 2022 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is confirming that residents who have not received a booster dose, and it has been greater than 84 days since their second dose, will receive an automated call from Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Moore. This automated call is part of the provincial campaign to encourage individuals to pursue a booster dose COVID-19 vaccination appointment.

January 17, 2022 – GO-VAXX Bus Coming to Renfrew County and District

January 17, 2022 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is announcing that the GO-VAXX Bus which hosts mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics is coming to Renfrew County and District (RCD).
