Directions to Trail
On Hwy 17 south-east of Pembroke (approximately 6 km south of the intersection with Hwy 41) turn left of Cty Rd 24 (Whitewater Rd), then right on Cty Rd 21, which takes a shart turn to the left after 1 km. After 6 km, turn left onto Cty Rd 12 and after approximately 10 km you will see the Township of Westmeath Administration Building. Park in the lot there.
Description of Trail
Just past the Township of Westmeath Administration Building, turn right on Westmeath Rd 11. Continue walking on Rd 11 (through one intersection) for 2 km. Turn right at Rd 7 and walk along Rd 7 for 3 km. You will be walking up a big hill. At the top of the hill there is a good veiw behind you to the north-west (Quebec side) and in front of you to the south-east over the fertile farmland of he Westmeath Peninsula. Turn right at Rd 10 and follow it along until the intersection with paved Cty Rd 31. Turn right and proceed 3/10 of a km to the scenic lookout entrance. Climb the hill to the gazebo where you can enjoy a spectacular view in all directions, while resting on the bench provided. Continue walking down the hill on Cty Rd 31 to the junction with Rd 11(3 km). Turn left at Rd 11 and return to your car.
