Infection control services offered by the Health Unit include the following:

 

1. Consumer Advice - call the Health Info Line (613) 735-8666 or 1-800-267-1097 for information about reportable diseases and preventing the spread of infections. Also, check out the Infection control fact sheets, pamphlets and recommended links in the Health Info section of this website.

2. Consultations - offered to facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the aged, day nurseries, clinics, barber shops, tattoo parlors on infection prevention practices

3. Workshops and presentations - covering infection prevention practices.  Offered to staff of facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the aged and day nurseries. 

4. Renfrew County Organization of Professionals in Infection Control - the Health Unit provides information and support to this group of infection control professionals.
